This is kind of embarrassing story really……
Imagine being 14/15 years old and everyone in your school has chosen their work experience places, you have no clue what to
do so pick a job at random.
It turns out to be a job in a specialist car body shop and repair centre. After just a few hours in the workshop I think
the willing employers had sussed that I was never ever going to shine in the mechanics sector. So I was given jobs that
meant I was not under their feet, soon I had swept the floor so many times the brush had broken.
As the week went on they decided to give me something slightly more challenging…… Brake pipes needed cutting to specific
sizes and they decided I was the man for the job. After giving me a very brief demonstration I was left with a few lengths
of pipe a list of measurments and the correct tools to do it with…. Of course I wasn’t to know that the measurements were
imperial measurements.
When I handed the employers their brake pipes at the end of the day (which I had cut to metric measurements) I think it was
fair to say that they were not overly impressed and I got told to get out and never come back. For the next few weeks I was
the talk of the school which was not brilliant, but I learnt a valuable lesson….. DON’T DO MECHANICS EVER AGAIN!

I worked for this company for almost a year , and I always did my best. The customers and my colleages really liked me , but the new manager felt threatened by me, so she decide to tell lies about me for the area manager, a arrogant man, who, I believe never liked me, so he came to our branche and said that I was a negative person, non team player and wasn’t commited to the company. When I tried to ask how he came to those conclusions, once he just came into our shop 3 times, and just spoke with me for maximum of 5 minuts each time, he just said that he didn’t want to listen to wherever I had to say, and that I should leave and never come back. It was a big shock for me, once I was the best employee in that shop. Always friendly, bubly, hands on. I felt worse than a criminal, because I don’t know what was told to him about me , and I can’t defend myself. But, what goes around, comes around. One day he will realise what a big mistake he has done, and then will be to later to repair, once I will never work for then again, even if they offer me a 6 figures pay.
